About ESI

Espresso Services Inc. has been dedicated to providing customers with the best specialty coffee equipment, consulting, training, premium products and technical service since 1989. 

Founded as a service company we began importing espresso equipment directly from Italy in 1993, distributing specialty products the following year, and in 1995 became the exclusive importer of La Cimbali Italian espresso equipment for the upper Midwest. Along with marketing the worlds finest espresso technology from La Cimbali we sell custom equipment packages that also include grinders, brewers, blenders, water filtration systems and espresso carts to meet the range of needs from commercial foodservice to residential customers. Although we have grown significantly in our equipment sales and products distribution, our service department has kept up with the industry growth and today we are proud to be the technical service supplier to such household names as Caribou Coffee Co., Starbucks, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Barnes and Noble Cafes, Olive Garden, as well as hundreds of other multi-unit and independent coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and miscellaneous foodservice locations. Offering an array of service options from emergency on-call service to annual total coverage maintenance contracts, ESI has a service program to cover your needs. To date, we have serviced and supplied over 3000 customers and the numbers continue to grow. 

If it’s simply specialty products you’re in need of, our products distribution business has also grown significantly over the last five years prompting us to make changes to our business operation. In 2007 we purchased and moved into a 21,000 sq ft facility in NE Minneapolis where we now reside, thus allowing us to diversify and expand our product line. We now import and distribute such high quality specialty brands as Lavazza Premium Coffee, European Roasterie Coffee, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Da Vinci Gourmet syrups and sauces, Monin Gourmet syrups, sauces and purees, Routin 1883 syrups, Caffe D’Amore frappe powders and mixes, Botanica smoothies products, Jet smoothie bases and frappes, Dr. Smoothie 100% natural fruit smoothie bases, Oregan Chai, Sattwa Chai, Ghirardelli Chocolate Products, Mighty Leaf Teas, Novus Teas, EcoProducts compostable paper goods as well as various other products and specialty small-wares.
